Too Hard to Be

I wrote this one while I was in Ireland for a month, and now I’m actually using it in a song of mine.

Rating: Dig it

Too Hard to Be

To live without the fear of eye contact
To play without the shadow of body image
To talk without the horror of offense
To compete without the need to win
To love without anticipation of sex
To like without needing more
To stare and not obsess
To remember and not regret
To always learn from mistakes
To go on without a void
To act but not pretend
To talk for an entire night and never mention myself
To cry without the fear or want of being seen
To mourn for the dead without forgetting the living
To be without the stress of being
To sacrifice humbly
Is that too hard to be?
