Song Lyrics

May Calling

This highway never seemed so long
And it’s all the same
Yeah it’s all the same
Stuck in cities that we always swore we’d leave
But we never change
No we never change
I always thought that if I just had more,
then my insecurities would stop controlling me
But there’s so much that I just can’t let go
So I have to be the one to leave

I’m leaving
I’m leaving this behind
Leaving
So tired of this life

May, if I ever said I didn’t need you
Oh well, I was lying
Caught in the universe that’s in your eyes
And I just want to dive in

So hit the gas, red or green it doesn’t matter
Because I just need you
Nothing matters but you
And tear the pages out of all I ever dreamed of
It’s all new
It’s all new
It’s like you always said, you’ve gotta take your chances
From all these romances that just flare up and die
And all these petty friends and lovers will never be enough for you and I

May, if I ever said I didn’t need you
Oh well, I was lying
Caught in the universe that’s in your eyes
And I just want to dive in
We’ve got a lot of bridges to burn, and tables to turn
If the cards keep falling
We’re burning 80 on a broken land, so show your hand
Because I’m all in

I’m leaving
Leaving this behind
I’m leaving
Let’s leave this place tonight

May, if I ever said I didn’t need you
Oh well, I was lying
Caught in the universe that’s in your eyes
And I just want to dive in
We’ve got a lot of bridges to burn, and tables to turn
If the cards keep falling
We’re burning 80 on a broken land, so show your hand
Because I’m all in
all in

  1. I love this song! One of my favorite memories from last weekend was sitting outside the door listening to this for the first time. And then of course you rocked it out again at the show. So good.
