Well we’ve been blessed to have internet in our two quick places we’ve stayed at so far in Costa Rica, so I figured I’d go ahead and do one of my trip diaries again, at least while I have reliable internet.
As to be expected, the first day was filled with travel. So Corinne and I spent the majority of the day reading and watching Six Feet Under and The League. I love traveling because of this. Any day in which all I did was watch shows and read, and I’d feel like a loser for not getting out. But here I get to do all that, AND say the true essence of capitalism at work as the first class passengers board AND finish their first glass of champagne by the time I’m cattle prodded back to the 27th row. And no smoking on airplanes? I never heard of that. There’s an ashtray in the bathroom, so either there’s smoking on this plane, or this plane was built in 1962.
But I digress. The moral of the story is that we got to San Jose, and to the wonderfully charming Bed and Breakfast, Margarita’s, that we stayed at, which is only one terrifying, pothole and unpaved road filled taxi journey from the airport.
